Who is Juho Rinne
I’m a photographer, videographer, mixing and mastering engineer from Helsinki, Finland. I started as a guitarist in pop punk band MadCraft. As I noticed that visual content is super important in music, I bought a camera and learned to shoot photos and videos of my band and also other bands that played with us. For the past two years I’ve been going back closer to music by studying mixing and mastering.
I’ve been shooting and editing photos since 2010. All that time I’ve been using Lightroom as my editing software. I like to create different looks for each band and artist that I shoot, so I ended up with tons of presets, which I’m now sharing on this site.
Even though these Lightroom presets may be used by a professional photographer, I think they are more useful for people who don’t have much experience of editing photos. This could be, for example, fans who take photos at gigs or even the band / artist himself, who receive photos from their friends. Photos straight from the camera may look dull, but with the right Lightroom preset the same photos can be awesome.
Here’s what has been said about my presets:
“I’m just starting out in music photography and your presets and website have taught me so much. Especially when it comes to facing out those horrible consistent stage lights. I’ve stood beside other photographers who cursed the lighting crew for their crap pictures and I just smile and know I’ll clean it up in post production, not a problem.” -Marolyn / Element Photography
It doesn’t matter with which camera the photos have been shot. Currently I’m shooting with Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II. The lenses I have have are Olympus 12-40 mm 2.8 Pro, Olympus 45 mm 1.8, Olympus 25 mm 1.8, Olympus 14-42 mm 3.5-5.6, and Samyang 7.5 mm 3.5. However, most of the photos on this page have been shot with my earlier camera Canon 60D. The lenses I’ve used were Tamron 17-50 mm 2.8 VC, Sigma 50 mm 1.4, Sigma 30 mm 1.4, and Samyang 8 mm 3.5.
I hope you’ll find my music concert Lightroom presets useful!
